So, if I’m understanding this correctly, every thirty seconds it rounds up to the next minute. So yeah, it wouldn’t be thirty seconds ahead. It would be thirty seconds faster for every thirty seconds that go by. So depending on when you set the time, it would increasingly get further and further ahead.

I like it. I think it comes off even more hilarious because it’s really not something you would expect from this comic.
SPIKE
you got it! who doesn't need a clock that gets exponentially more useless
This is one of the most surreal comics because I was not expecting a grandfather-level joke from these two punks.

Also enjoying the technology themes because I am a weirdo who relates to machines as much as people.
SPIKE
some jokes only appear after chronic sleep deprivation and a few bong rips, but this one came from 100% sobriety

One time a gave a very drunk neighbor a reaction like Darby's.

I told him a classic Zen anecdote that seems to end before the point is made. This annoyed him.

I then had to explain the story. This annoyed me.
SPIKE
well now I want to hear the story

One day Jōshū fell down in the snow, and called out, 'Help me up! Help me up!' A monk came and lay down beside him. Jōshū got up and went away.
